Seventy years have passed since we last saw Peaches (played by Ariana Grande). Now, she finds herself once again in the waiting room of Brighter Days Inc., but this time for a very different appointment. The company now offers advanced memory restoration, allowing her to revisit a curated selection of moments from her life-both cherished and painful. As Peaches embarks on this immersive journey, we watch her confront and heal certain wounds (personal and professional alike) that have made her who she is today. She reconnects with her younger self who had been patiently in the wings for over a decade, as she works her way through the challenges of fame (she is the daughter of the very famous Brighter Days Inc. founder/doctor), personal sensationalism (resulting in being torn apart by stray cats), and generational trauma. In the end, with the help of her loved ones and art, she is able to come home to herself. She would do anything to experience it all again. However, there’s one catch: once a memory is relived, it is erased forever.
Set against the music of eternal sunshine deluxe: brighter days ahead, and directed by frequent collaborators Christian Breslauer and Ariana Grande, this film explores love, loss, growth, and the fleeting nature of memory, delivering a heartfelt cinematic experience that closes the door on this eternal sunshine album era.

I don't know who's gonna read this but here's a little story. When eternal sunshine first came out, the place where i live it was 3am. me and my bestfriend stayed up all night listening to the album together (it was the first time she ever listened to an album completely) , we vibed ,cried and just enjoyed the moment, 2024 February, that day is like a core memory for me. but a few months ago we started drifting apart and till the deluxe came out we completely stopped interacting. Watching this made me realize even if i try to erase all my memories, i still won't move on from her, because all the best moments of my life were with her.

I literally rewatched it for the first time in nearly 15 years last night to prepare for this. The really wild thing is, the reason I hadn't watched it in so long (after only seeing it once) isn't because I didn't like it, but because the person who showed it to me was the person *I* wish I could erase from my memories. To know her father and her were estranged for years, only to now find out he’s the one who helped her through her divorce and the Ethan Slater drama is beautiful. I think not having her father in her life for so many years made her view relationships in a very unhealthy way. But him being the one to pick up the pieces in the aftermath healed her inner child, the part that longed for her father. Hence why she’s the same yet entirely different.
